Put on ibex pack by clipping in:

For the best fit, put a bulky item such as a scarf or t-shirt into the bag to expand it. This keeps the bag from fitting too tightly when carrying your real valuables later.

Start with all straps unclipped. This may be easiest while sitting down.

Bring the long waist strap around body and clip to the small ring on the bag.

Put on ibex pack by stepping in

Once you have adjusted your ibex pact to the perfect fit (see How to Size and Adjust below), I find that leaving the leg straps clipped in place and stepping through them is the easiest and fastest.

It’s even easier by starting seated. No need to remove shoes as the straps will likely fit around them.

Start with leg straps clipped in, waist and cross strap UNclipped.

—— how to size and adjust ————————————————-

start with waist strap

The waist strap should be long enough that the bag rides low to mid thigh.

When determining the best length, focus on the position on the leg that the pack will lay.

Don’t worry about the waist strap fitting snugly like a belt. At this point it should be pretty loose.

Adjusting the waist strap

waicombo7.jpg

1.

Remove the buckle prong from the holes. Pull both straps through a couple inches.

2.

Pinch and hold at the fold of the straps and

pull out. Try not to pull the tail all of the way through

because this will save you from having to thread it back through later.

3. the blue arrows indicate the strap transitioning through the clip bar. Adjust in either direction to get the right length.

4. Pull the straps up

5. so they are slightly snug around the bar.

6. Place the buckle prong up through holes of both straps. you may have to slide the straps to find the holes closest to each other.

7. Bring the sliders down

8. Thread the tail through the bottom side of each slider.

waistcombo10.jpg

9. To remove the excess slack and make the straps flat;

10. move the slider up against the main buckle

11. and slide it back out to the desired length.

Here is what the waist strap looks like finished.

Have one slider positioned at the tail of the strap to keep it from dangling. Position the other slider about midway between the tail slider and the buckle.

Adjusting the cross strap

adjcrossstrap.jpg

The job of the cross strap is to secure the Ibex Pack on the waist and hips.

With the cross strap clipped into place, adjust the buckle so it’s just tight enough not to slip below the hips. For jeans you can also thread the cross strap through a belt loop.

The pack is supposed to align with the front corner hanging lower than the back.

Adjusting leg straps

Before fitting the leg straps, place a soft bulky item such as a t-shirt or scarf inside. This keeps the bag from fitting too tightly when carrying your real valuables later.

The leg straps should be loose enough to slide your hand between the leather and your leg and tight enough not to sag.

1. Get hold of the strap where it folds over the fixed buckle.

2. Pull out a few inches.

3. The arrows indicate the path of the strap through the buckle. Pull the strap through in either direction to the desired length.

5. Tuck the tail into the underside of the slider to hold it in place.

if the tail is longer, follow steps 6 and 7

6. To secure the excess tail,

7. thread the tail up under the bar of the clip

8. Move the slider to the end of the tail and tuck in to hold the tail in place.
